Dallas EMDR Therapy & Counseling Services

A Different Kind of Therapy, Built Around You

No two people experience therapy the same way, and that's by design. My work is built on proven trauma therapy, layered with specialized training that lets me meet you exactly where you are. Sometimes that means working through a specific memory or understanding patterns you learned early in life. Other times, we focus on helping your body catch up to what your mind already knows. Whatever brought you here, I tailor every session to you.

How Does Our Approach to Therapy Work?

I offer both in-person and virtual sessions, typically meeting weekly or every other week for 60 to 90 minutes at a time. This allows us to work together in whatever way fits your lifestyle best. My work draws from several modalities, including EMDR, IFS-Informed EMDR, Attachment-Informed EMDR, and Unyte's nervous system regulation programs. It's okay if you are not familiar with any of this, just know that I'll help you prepare to heal.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) Therapy

EMDR is a structured, research-backed therapy that helps you heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that disturbing life experiences leave behind. Think of it this way: when your body gets hurt, it naturally tries to heal the wound, but if something keeps irritating it, healing can stall, or worse, an infection can spread.

Your mind works the same way. It wants to heal, but disturbing memories can keep an emotional wound open, slowing or even stopping that natural process. I use EMDR's protocols to remove these blocks, so your mind can finally finish healing!

IFS-Informed EMDR

IFS (Internal Family Systems) is a full methodology that describes our minds as being made up of parts. There are parts that try to keep us safe, even if they don't always go about it the right way, and parts that we've cut off; the ones carrying guilt, fear, shame, or pain. I have specialized training that allows me to look through this lens while using EMDR.

Together, EMDR and IFS create a more structured way to surface trauma and talk to each of these parts as if it were its own person—not a symptom. This allows us to approach your trauma with curiosity instead of pressure, helping you process and build trust with the parts of you that may have been pushed away for too long.

Attachment-Informed EMDR

Like IFS, Attachment theory is its own methodology that I've been trained to use together with EMDR to bridge the gap between childhood memories and how they affect you today. It helps us explore your earliest relationships to see what they taught your body and mind about concepts like closeness, love, and safety.

You might feel anxious in relationships, like they could fall apart at any time, even if nothing is wrong. Or you may have learned that depending on others is unsafe, so you have trouble asking for help, getting close to people you care about, or engaging emotionally while under stress.

All of these are subconscious behaviors that may connect with something in your past that we can find together and help you find relief.

Addiction-Focused EMDR

Addiction can take many forms, but none of them can fill the hole inside. You've probably felt that way for a long time and didn't have words to express it. I use specialized EMDR protocols like DeTUR and the Feeling State Addiction Protocol to target the root of your addiction instead of just managing symptoms. You can fight this. I can help.

Trauma can make your nervous system feel raw, even if you are not aware of it. Sound has a powerful effect on the mind; it can make you jump, feel at peace, or even prepare your body for sleep. I offer Unyte's specialized listening programs to help prepare your body and mind, whether you are getting ready for EMDR or just looking for support.
