Unyte Programs for Therapy in Dallas

Support Yourself, Find Yourself

Doing real, meaningful work to heal from trauma asks a lot of us, and if your nervous system isn't prepared for stress, it can make you feel tired or raw, emotionally. Unyte's listening therapy programs use specially filtered music, delivered through headphones, to help regulate your body and mind to build resilience. This makes deeper work, like EMDR, easier to tolerate. As a provider certified in all three Unyte programs in Uptown Dallas, I offer this support whether you're preparing for trauma processing or looking for relief on its own.

How Does Unyte Work?

Polyvagal Theory diagram of the nervous system states

Unyte's programs are built on Polyvagal Theory, developed by Dr. Stephen Porges. The idea is that your nervous system is constantly, unconsciously scanning your environment for cues of safety or danger. Dr. Porges found that certain sounds can signal safety directly to that system, almost bypassing conscious thought entirely. Unyte takes advantage of this, using filtered music to soothe your body-mind connection in ways that talking alone sometimes can't.

As a provider certified in all three Unyte programs, I use this work differently depending on what you need. For some clients, it's a way to build up their tolerance before we begin trauma processing with EMDR. For others, it's a standalone way to support a nervous system that's been dysregulated or on high alert for a long time.

Safe and Sound Protocol™ (SSP)

The Safe and Sound Protocol is a five-hour listening program, delivered gradually over multiple sessions. It's designed to reduce sound sensitivities and improve auditory processing, behavioral state regulation, and social engagement behaviors through filtered music.

You will listen to the music while under my supervision, either in-person or online, as it stimulates your vagus nerve, helping to re-tune your nervous system to safety and connection. SSP has shown real benefits for people dealing with trauma, anxiety, and sensory processing differences.

Rest and Restore Protocol™ (RRP)

The Rest and Restore Protocol is the gentlest of Unyte's programs, designed specifically to support rest, sleep, and relaxation rather than active processing or movement. It uses the same specially filtered music technology as SSP, but RRP is often used for clients who need calmer, lower-intensity support. Whether you use it as a stand-alone resource or alongside more active work like EMDR or SSP, Rest and Restore Protocol can help you find the peace within.

Integrated Listening System™ (ILS)

The Integrated Listening System, also known as the Focus Program, combines specially treated music with movement exercises to help your brain build new neural pathways by harnessing the power of neuroplasticity.

Delivered through air and bone-conduction headphones, ILS engages both your ears and your body, with movement activities tailored to your body. Just like your body can build your physique and endurance with exercise, we can help your mind build neurological strength through ILS.
